I do have this book, and in my opinion it has some greater worth. It’s not at all a "picture book" (image size and quality could have been better), but it contains rather detailed texts on the history of the flags and the coats-of-arms.

In addition to the national symbols (plus overseas territories), for several countries the first-level subnational symbols are shown: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Germany, France, UK, Canada, Malaysia, Micronesia, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, South Africa, UAE, USA.

Furthermore there is some introductory text, several international flags, some flags or unrecognized countries, a flag identification key and a glossary.

It contains a remarkably low number of mistakes, and at the time of the edition it was the most up-to-date flag book by far (it is from autumn 1992 I guess and it already contains the new Turkmen, Kazakh and Kyrgyz flags).
