This is the Eutaw Standard of Colonel William Washington's 3rd Legionary Corps which fought in the battles at Cowpens and Eutaw Springs. Legend has it that when his fiance found out he had no flag, she cut a piece of piece of damask material from a curtain and gave it to him. It later flew at their wedding. |
