Its arms were granted on 14 January 1976 from the Burgenland government. The design combines the history and present of the municipality. The cross from the old town seal was adopted as a symbolic representation of the parish church and the town's name; the grape and the wavy bars were added as symbols of viticulture and the mineral spring, the most important factors in the economic life of the municipality.
The official colours are red and yellow.
The municipality's name in Croatian: Kerestur; in Hungarian: Sopronkeresztúr (until 1899: Németkeresztúr); in Hebrew: Zelem
