Day Island Yacht Club

The Day Island Yacht Club was founded in 1949 on the Day Island, in Washington State, US. Its home waters are The Narrows, that eventually widens to become part of the Puget Sound proper. The club has a website at https://diyc.clubexpress.com, though <clubexpress.com> is not
their own domain, and in fact is (2022) being moved between companies.

That club website includes a history page at https://diyc.clubexpress.com/content.aspx?page_id=22&club_id=328664&module_id=171080 that tells us the burgee was created by Mrs. Bringham. What the page doesn't say is what the burgee means.

Burgee: A red hoist and a blue fly, with at the division a white oval, with its main direction the horizontal.

The club is part of the Grant Fourteen yacht clubs of Puget Sound.
