Coat of Arms

from Reddit

The council informed me their coat of arms was adopted on 8 February 1985 through Decree N°19, being designed by the Professor Lázaro Fuentes Sánchez, and adopted through a call for submissions and invitation under the administration of Municipal President Vidal Blanco Espinoza (1984-1986). Over a shield shaped like an arrowhead, a wide ribbon is placed reading Valle Hermoso. At the top of the border of the shield, TAMAULIPAS; the border is in brown and white. The year 1939 is also read, the foundation of the irrigation zone. The inner section depicts a blue sky over a ploughed field, having a cloud, sun; a book is placed in the upper-left for education. To the right, two transmission towers are seen. Two silos are also seen. To the left of this is a factory with two smokestacks for industry, one to its right. Under these figures are: a house, two buds of cotton, a cluster of grapes, and a cob of corn.

Second Coat of Arms

The outer border is shaped like a badge, the main border in purple reading MUNICIPIO LIBRE Y SOBERANO DE VALLE HERMOSO. In the inner area, the sun can be seen rising over a gray ploughed field. A crossed machete and axe are seen to the left; a man in a tractor to the right and cloud; and a golden eagle below in flight likely signifying independence.

This symbol was adopted in 1958, having a white border shaped as a badge, having green edges, and a red scroll figure at the top. At the top of the border, VALLE HERMOSO, TAMPS. is read. The inner area is divided into three. The upper section depicts a water tower, with a funnel from a barn into a silo. The lower-left section depicts a man in a tractor over a field. The lower-right section depicts two buds of cotton.
