Coat of Arms

from itait.org.mx

The coat of arms of Llera was adopted on 25 December 1985, being designed by René Ortíz Camacho and promoted by José Mesa Rocha. The coat of arms has the form of a book, some incomplete parts having the sameness of the coat of arms of the state (scrolled). At the top of the inner area is the Bernal Mocho Hill. To the left, a trail and the bridge over the Guayalejo River can be seen. An image of José de Escandón, 1st Count of Sierra Gorda, can be seen in the center. To the right is the Our Lady of the Rosary church. The lower-right is divided into many sections, one for each: orange, banana, mango, avocado, lime, acorn, peach, all products of the Valley; and a paper signifying independence. The lower-left section depicts a cow and goat for cattle-raising, and to the bottom-center is a ribbon.
