No Flag

It appears Gómez Farías does not use a municipal flag.

Coat of Arms

from Wikimedia Commons

The coat of arms was adopted in 1985, during the term of Municipal President Juana María Lara de Álvarez (1984-1986), as the Government of the State recommended the design of one to the Municipality, as to all other municipalities. The design was entrusted to Prof. Ricardo Cázares Yánez, collaborator with the council experienced in plastic art. The coat of arms itself is very geometric, like the constructions of the pre-Hispanic times and in accordance with plastic design. The coat of arms is designed to have the shape of a cob of corn, reading GOMEZ FARIAS at the top and TAM under it vertically. Under this over two blue squares exist a cob of corn and sugarcane, symbols of agriculture. Three more blue squares are seen under this, depicting in each one: mangos for fruticulture; cow for the type found in the municipality; and a cactus for the flora. At the bottom is a scene where the Sierra Madre Oriental can be visibly seen, along with a lake at the bottom and two fields to its sides.
