The coat of arms has a scrolled border, reading VILLA DE CRUILLAS, TAM. at the top; at the bottom is FUNDADA EL 9 DE MAYO DE 1766 (founding). The inner area is divided into three sections. The upper section depicts a scene with hills, clouds, a grassland, and in the front a cow, goat, and sheep. The lower-left section depicts three cobs of corn over a ploughed field. The lower-right section depicts three stalks of sorghum. In the center is an inescutcheon depicting the Church of Our Lady of Monserrat. Overall, the coat of arms remembers cattle-raising, agriculture, and religion.
