The council informed me they do not use a municipal flag.

The council told me they do not have information regarding the municipal coat of arms. All that is known is that it was adopted in 1991. The coat of arms has a shape similar to an arrowhead, having black on the very edges of it and being mostly blue. The upper half has a motto going across in white reading LUCHAR POR EL PROGRESO ES NUESTRO COMPROMISO [FIGHTING FOR PROGRESS IS OUR COMPROMISE]. This half depicts the radiant sun rising over the mountains of the area, with the Saint Michael Archangel Church in front of it. The lower half depicts a trapezoid, with symbols of the local economy to the left: horse, lechuguilla, shovel and stick crossed together, goat, and cow. To the right are more symbols: corn plant, pinecone, cactus, and water jug. Separating both sides is a canal with a stone bridge, a symbol of the large part agriculture has here. Under this in white is 1749 MAYO 26 [foundation date] 1991 [the year of the coat of arms's adoption]. Under this is BUSTAMANTE -TAM.-
