The council informed me the first administration (1975-1978) used flags, probably for projects such as construction, with the image of the municipal coat of arms. Today, it appears Felipe Carrillo Puerto does not use any municipal flag.

The coat of arms of Felipe Carrillo Puerto was adopted in 1975, during the first administration (1975-1978) under Municipal President Sebastián Estrella Pool. It was designed by the plastic arts teacher Jorge Antonio Corona Noriega. The border of the shield has rolled upper edges and the sun above. The border reads "MUNICIPIO DE FELIPE CARRILLO PUERTO QUINTANA ROO". In the inner section, the upper-left depicts a glyph representing a Maya, native component to the Municipality. The lower-left depicts a factory and its chimney with smoke for industry. The main component is a hand holding a cornfield and a tree, for agriculture and forestal exploitation as the oldest activities of the region. The lower-right depicts a shark for fishing activities of the Municipality, which has a coast.
