He was a general on the Toyotomi side, known by the name of Yukimura. He was a member of Ishida's forces in the Battle of Sekigahara. He fought against Tokugawa Hidetada in the Battle of Sekigahara. After the defeat, he was ordered to be confined to his estate at Kudozan (Mt. Koya).He fought hard in the Osaka Winter Campaign of 1614 and was killed in the Summer Campaign of the following year at Chausuyama. The war banner has red background with white six Sanada coins with zigzag white area at the bottom. The Sanada coins are fee for crossing the Sanzu River to the world of death. It is a suitable emblem for a warlord, meaning "I am ready to die."
