About the Organization

The Superintendencia de Valores (SiV, Superintendent of Securities) is an independent agency of the Dominican Republic government, established by Securities Market Law No. 19-00. The agency falls under the auspices of the Consejo Nacional de Valores (CNV, National Securities Council). According to the Google translation of the agency's website, SiV's functions include promoting, regulating, and supervising the domestic Dominican stock market; promoting the formation of prices of financial instruments, such as stocks and bonds; and organizing and maintaining the Register of Market and Products.
