The municipality of Alsancak (Greek: Καραβάς; 6,507 inhabitants in 2011) is located on the northern coats of Cyprus.
By the 2016-2018 administrative reform, the municipality of Alsancak should be incorporated in 2018 into the municipality of Lapta.

The municipality of Karavas was established on 7 June 1884. Following the proclamation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the exile of the Greek population, the new municipality of Alsancak was formed in 1975, while the administration of the municipality of Karavas in exile (website) was relocated to Nicosia.
