The in-Shuck-ch are basically the N'kuktsa division of the Stl'atl'imx Nation, which is made up of three communities: Samahquam, Skatin (Skookumchuck) and Xa'xtsa (Douglas). Their traditional territory includes the upper Harrison Lake and lower Lillooet River drainages, and their communities are situated within the lower Lillooet River valley. There are currently about 1,000 members of the three bands.
