Guteneck Coat of Arms

Shield Vert a plough Argent, issuant from base a triplemount Or, chief Argent an embattled arcade Gules having three archs.
Meaning:
The charge in chief is a representation of the arcades of the local castle. The tinctures had been those of two families, who owned castle and district (Bavarian: Hofmark), the Lords of Murach (around 1283 until 1574) and the Counts of Kreuth (1574 until 1893). The plough is symbolising the rural character and agriculture. The mount is representing the three peaks of the Herrnberg, a mountain, and is also alluding to the municipalities of Guteneck, Unteraich and Pischdorf, which merged in 1972.
