Altusried Coat of Arms

Shield Azure, a ruined castle Argent.
Meaning:
A draft, suggested in 1836 by the Imperial Herald, suggested the fabulous ancestral seat of the Marshals of Calentin, whose history was however widely unknown. At that time there existed large remains of Kalden Castle, built in 1515 by Joachim Marshal of Papenheim. The image was based on mere remembrance. The colours are those of the arms of the Papenheim kin.
