Ilsfeld Coat of Arms

Shield Argent, an eradicated tree Vert beneath an antler Sable in chief.
Meaning:
Ilsfeld had the oldest known village seal of the County of Württemberg, because since the late Middle Ages it had been the centre of a bigger district (German: "Großmark") and it had been walled like a city. The oldest seal with prints since 1468 already displayed the current pattern, but the antler had been dexter pointing. The next three seals had been court seals. The latest with prints since 1665 had been an octagon. The existence of the tree as a local symbol is proven since 1684. The colours of the arms are known since the 16th century.
