Shield Vert, a pale Sable fimbriated Argent, in chief superimposed by a heraldic rose Or seeded Gules, at dexter an almond branch Argent with blossoms of the same seeded Gules, at sinister six bees Or ordered 3:2:1. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "VILAROUCO".

Vilarouco Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of São João da Pesqueira Municipality; it had 412 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 34.9 km².

Shield Argent, a grapevine Purpure leaved Vert, flanked by two branches of almond Vert fruited Or, crossed per saltire in base, in chief an orb Azure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "PEREIROS - S. JOÃO DA PESQUEIRA".
Meaning:
The orb is an attribute of Jesus Christ, as the Divine Saviour being the local patron saint. The other charges are symbolizing agriculture.
