Former flag of Oroslavje (1997)

The former symbols of Oroslavje are prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi Grada Oroslavje, adopted on 27 March 1997 by the Town Assembly and published on 14 April 1997 in Službeni glasnik Županije Krapinsko-zagorske, No. 2.

The flag is prescribed as "coloured blue, rectangular in shape, in proportions 1:2. In the middle of the field is the coat of arms of the Town of Oroslavje. The main charge of the coat of arms is turned towards the flag hoist".

The coat of arms is prescribed as follows.

... in a shield shape, curved in the base. The shield is edged in golden yellow. Inside the shield, on a blue background, there is an eagle. The eagle is one of the symbols, that is, the characteristics of Oroslavje. The eagle sculpture was once in Gornje Oroslavje, and is today on the central square of the town. It is assumed that Oroslavje was named after an engle. The eagle is coloured golden yellow, its wings spread, the head turned to the right. The eagle stands on architecture (gate at the entrance of the Prpić family park). The architecture is silver and white and stands on the base colured green (grass, park).
