Nittendorf Coat of Arms

Shield Gules, above a ram passant Argent, beneath a lower demi-millwheel Or.
The watermill wheel is referring to the water power of the local river Schwarze Laber. Alongside the river had been hammer mills in the past. The ram is taken from the family arms of the Lords of Rammelstein, who owned the districts (Bavarian: Hofmarken) of Loch and Schönhofen in the 15th and 16th century. Nittendorf gained the title of a market town in 2003.
