Tuntenhausen Coat of Arms

Shield Vert, issuant from base the western façade of a church Argent with two towers, flanked in chief at dexter by a gonfanon Argent parted by a cross Gules and at sinister by an eradicated fir Or.
Meaning:
The church is a representation of the local pilgrimage church of Tuntenhausen, dedicted to St. Mary. It is a place of pilgrimage since the 15th century and was rebuilt after a fire in the 17th century. The steeples were added in 1890. The gonfanon, also called "Paschal Flag", is taken from the arms of the former municipality of Beyharting, which overtook the symbol from the gonfanon of the Paschal Lamb of the namesake Augustine convent. The fir is symbolising the former Hohenthann Municipality and taken from its municipal arms from 1966.
