A rectangular crimson panel with an aspect ratio of 2:3, in the central part of which there is a shield
with the coat of arms of the county, to the left and right of which there is one white wavy vertical
stripe.

Cherkas'kyy County has 6878 km² with about 600'000 inhabitants. Its administrative seat is the City
of Cherkasy.
The County was created in 1923. In 2020 it was enlargement absorbing, in whole or partly, abolished
Chygyryns'kyy, Gorodyshchens'kyy, Kam'yans'kyy, Kanivs'kyy, Korsun'-Shevchenkivs'kyy, and Smilyans'kyy
counties.
The coat of arms and flag were adopted on 30.7.2002.
The current administrative-territorial structure of the county consists of 26 United Territorial
Communities: Balakleyivs'ka, Bereznyakivs'ka, Bilozirs'ka, Bobryts'ka, Budyshchens'ka, Cherkas'ka,
Chervonoslobids'ka, Chygyryns'ka, Gorodyshchens'ka, Kam'yans'ka, Kanivs'ka, Korsun'-Shevchenkivs'ka,
Leskivs'ka, Lipyavs'ka, Medvedivs'ka, Mliyivs'ka, Moshnivs'ka, Myhaylivs'ka, Nabutivs'ka, Rotmistrivs'ka,
Rus'kopolyans'ka, Sagunivs'ka, Smilyans'ka, Stepanets'ka, Stepankivs'ka, and Ternivs'ka.

On a shield argent, with wavy base azure, a rider with spear in right hand, wearing gules and boots and
retinue azure, riding a bay horse with black mane, tail and hoofs and argent bridle. The shield is crowned
with a stylized crown of three golden spikelets and framed by green pine branches, decorated below with a
silver ribbon with the inscription "CHERKAS'KYY COUNTY" in Ukrainian language in Cyrillic letters.
