Coat of arms

Shield chequered of Azure and Argent, two barrulets Argent in every field Azure, the Argent ones charged as follows: in central chief a triple mount Vert, in central base a millwheel Gules, in the others a tree eradicated Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black capitals "SERRA DE ÁGUA".

Serra de Água Commune is one of the four communes of Ribeira Brava Municipality (q.v.); it had 1049 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 24.16 km².
