Coat of arms

Schield Argent, semy of alternating flowers Gules and birds volant Azure, over all a pair of scales Sable garnished Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "FREGUESIA DE CASTELO BRANCO".
Meaning:
The scales are an attribute of St. Michael, the local patron saint.
