The arms are Vert on a fess wavy Argent two barrulets wavy argent and in chief a scallop Or and in base a plough Or armed Argent. Mural crown argent with three visible towers (commune rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "TROUXEMIL".

It is an untypical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a field quartered of green and yellow (usually meaning town rank) .

Coat of arms

The arms are Vert upon base wavy of Azure and Argent, above base a bridge Argent masoned Sable with three arcs Sable, above bridge a hill Sable crowned by a belfry Argent masoned Sable, flanked by a bunch of grapes Or fruited Purpure in dexter chief and a cogwheel Or in sinister chief. Mural crown argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "TORRE DE VILELA".
