Overview

Anarcho-Feminism, now usually called Anarcha-Feminism, is the combination of Anarchism and Feminism. On the flags, it is expressed by combining black for the Anarchism with purple for the Feminism. A flag parted diagonally from bottom hoist to lower fly, with black above purple, was seen at a May 1st demonstration in Munich, Germany, in 2004.

Flags with the same pattern were seen at a March 8th demonstration in Kadiköy, Turkey, in 2012, and at a March 8th demonstration in Ankara, Turkey, in 2014.

Most recently, Turkish anarcha-feminists have brought these flags to the anarchist gathering which took place off the border with Syria, near the city of Kobane, in October 2014, as a manifestation of solidarity with the defenders of the city.

Flags with the same partition, but reversed colors (i.e. purple above black) have been used by anarcha-feminists in Chile since at least early 2013, as shown in a news report.

Such flags were also seen at the March 8th demonstration in Ankara, Turkey, in 2014.
