On 1 January 2013 the new commune of Escholzmatt-Marbach was formed through the merger (see below).
The new commune doesn't have a new flag/CoA but uses the old emblems together. On the communal website and
some official documents a new logo is used.

Canting emblem with the brook (German: Bach). The old name of the local Schonbach brook was Marbach.
