"The Western Lake Erie Sailing Club is a non-profit organization established to promote and support sailing at all levels of experience. . . . The Club was formed in 1983 by a group of individuals who were sailing instructors for North Cape Yacht Club, Toledo Sailing Club, and Jolly Roger Sailing Club. These people saw the need to provide better, more consolidated instruction for women sailors in Western Lake Erie.”
