Description of the flag

Estb: 1929. Location: City Marina, Dunedin.
Burgee Pennant circa 9:14 (web image). Blue field charged with a white letter D.
". . . by 1929, as a consequence of advancing years, the formerly vigorous ever-racing [Dunedin] Yacht Club contingent had become a rocking chair club. This prompted a bunch of native Dunedinite boaters to get together and organize the Dunedin Boat Club, with Dr. H. E. Winchester first Commodore. . . . The Dunedin marina was constructed in the '30s and in 1938 the City leased to the Dunedin Boat Club the land on which the clubhouse still stands."
