The municipality of Esenköy (2,806 inhabitants in 2015) is located 40 km west of Yalova and 20 km west of Çınarcık. Esenköy's beaches, which can be easily reached from Istanbul via a ferry service to Çınarcık, are very popular in summer.

The flag of Esenköy is white with the municipality's emblem. "Belediyesi" means "Municipality".

The new logo was presented on 9 January 2020 by Mayor Mehmet Temel.
A commission was appointed to design a new logo that would "better describe the town". The mayor eventually selected the logo among the commission's proposals.
More emphasis was put on the sea and sun symbols. The small rock surmounted with the "glorious" national flag was added to the logo, as the town's landmark.

The rock (photo) emerges from the Sea of Marmara c. 300 m from the port of Esenköy. The hoisting of the flag, not an easy task, is managed by local fishers (video).
The logo was changed in the aftermath of the 2019 elections. Mehmet Temel, from ultra nationalist MHP, succeeded Özen Kaptan, from AKP. It is not so surprising that the new mayor wanted to highlight the "glorious" flag.

The club's supporters also use a flag horizontally divided yellow-black (9 stripes) with the club's emblem in the center. The placement and orientation of the emblem indicates that the flag was most probably designed for vertical hosting.
