I was informed the municipality does not use any flag or standard.

The coat of arms was adopted during the term of Municipal President Manuel López López in 1994, apparently being designed by the government of the state. The shield is divided in half, with the upper part divided in half and a semicircle cutting through it in the middle. It is in the national colors. For the upper section, on the left on a green field is a head of cattle, symbolizing cattle-raising; to the right a hill with a crossed pick and shovel in front, symbolizing mining. Around the semicircle is the motto: YO SOY LA FUERZA DE MI PUEBLO [I am the strength of my town]. The lower section, on silver, depicts a mountain pass with a field in front and a hand holding multiple cobs of corn, symbolizing agriculture and the environment. Below is a lone tree, remembering the place name (Place of cumarus; type of tree). At the top, an incision is made, with a simplified map of the municipality and the seat's location within it. Above is the year 1643, its foundation, and above a red ribbon with its name.
