I was informed by the council that there is no municipal flag.

Coat of Arms

I was told that the coat of arms was created during the administration of 2007-2010. However, a document published by the council in its previous administration, from 2004 to 2007, shows it was in use before. Description as provided by the council:

Surrounded by an ogival stripe of red color, in its interior a square is drawn, inside of which the name of its municipality and motto is read: HOSPITALIDAD, HONOR, PATRIOTISMO [Hospitality, Honor, Patriotism]. Divided into four sections, in each one products of the region are presented: Fruit-related ones, represented by an apple tree; forest-related ones, logs to the edge of the Papigochi River; agricultural, a human figure guiding a tractor and working his crops; and cattle-raising, with a head of cattle facing forward.
