The city emblem was adopted on Dec 1st 2006 by Announcement No 10-1 but there is no flag law. The white flag has blue, green and orange three color city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized kanji 中 Chu of Chuo which is an image of prosperous cultural city. The green color stands for the earth and green leaves, the orange color for the Sun and the blue color for sky and fresh stream.
