Description

Here is the flag of this Dominican state government institution (image only), and its description in Spanish.
Valentin Poposki, 19 February 2010

The flag of DIGEPRES is sky blue with a golden fringe all around. The name of the agency is placed in the upper part of the flag, surmonting the name of the ministry it depends on ("Secretaría de Estado de Hacienda", or Finance Ministry). The logo of the agency is placed in the middle of the flag.

The sky blue colour recalls coldness and intelligence, highlighting the DIGEPRES' impartiality and rationality in the use and assessment of public founds. The colour also represents knowledge and stability required to fund the Government's development plans and priorities while keeping macroeconomical stability.

The logo of DIGEPRES is made of a rectangle encompasing the full name and emblem of the agency. Placed on the right of the logo, the DIGEPRES' emblem is made of a horseshoe-shaped blue "D" letter (for "Dirección"), from which emerges a small rectangle diagonally ascending to the upper right corner of the logo, slightly curvated. The rectangle is divided by a diagonal, forming two opposed arrows; the blue arrow, pointing to the "D", symbolizes receipts, while the red arrow, pointing out of the "D", symbolizes public expenditure.
