Gattendorf Coat of Arms

Shield parted per pale of Sable and Gules, a swan combatant Argent, crowned and armed Or, base Argent charged with a fess Gules.
Meaning:
The swan is taken from the arms of the Schmidt family, which acquired the Gatterndorf Estate from Margrave Christian-Ernst in 1700. Wolf-Christoph Schmidt had been the supreme tax collector of the margraves. The base is reminding on the local Moschler family, who ruled the village in 1294. The partition per pale is taken from the arms of the Lords of Feilitzsch, who owned the Gumpertsreuth from the 14th until the 16th century.
