Seehausen Coat of Arms

Shield parted per fess wavy, above Azure a sinister facing pike Argent, beneath Argent a dragon issuant Gules.
Meaning:
The line of partition, the blue colour and the pike (Latin: Esox lucius) are referring to the name giving lake, the Staffelsee. The pike is also representing fishing as an important business line in the past. Families from the village kept the rights of fishery until now. The dragon is an unusual attribute of St. Michael, the patron saint of the church on Wörth Island on the lake, which had been an independent parish until 1773.
