Wörth Coat of Arms

Shield Azure an anchor reversed Or, intertwined with an initial "S" Sable and flanked by a goose foot Or at dexter and an eradicted beech of the same at sinister.
Meaning:
The first arms were granted on 26 October 1841 by King Ludwig I of Bayern. They displayed on a black shield a silver anchor with golden annulet at its top. New arms were approved on 7 April 1961. They displayed on a blue shield with silver base wavy a golden anchor reversed. The anchor is symbolising shipping on the Rhine. In the current arms symbols of incorporated municipalities were added. The anchor is representing Wörth proper, the initial Pfortz and Maximiliansau, the canting beech Büchelberg, which is a mountain topped by a beech, finally the goose foot is representing Schaidt.
