Haag Coat of Arms

Over a triplemount quartered of Argent and Sable shield parted per pale, at dexter Gules a poking stick Argent in pale, at sinister Argent a demi-wheel Sable bladed Or.
Meaning:
The triplemount is a representation of the Sophienberg, a local mountain. Margravine Sophia of Bayreuth built a castle on top of the mountain in 1668. The tinctures of the triplemount are those of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Bayreuth. The rabble, in local language called "Nanken", is taken from the family arms of the Lords of Nankenreuth, who owned the Schreez Estate incl. the villages Haag and Unternschreez until 1613. They founded a chapel, dedicated to St. Catherine, represented in the arms by her attribute, the bladed wheel.
