Sigma Nu was founded at the Virginia Military Institute in 1869. The flag is a horizontal tricolor, black, white, and gold, with a gold rattlesnake from the coat of arms in the center.

Specifications and images can be found at Sigma Nu is a part of the Lexington Triad. Sigma Nu, along with the Kappa Alpha Order and Alpha Tau Omega, were founded in this general area and all except ATO keep their main headquarters here.
