Introduction: The Falcons Franchise
National Football Conference (NFC) South division

The Atlanta Falcons, sometimes affectionately called the "Dirty Birds" by their fans, are members of the National Football Conference (NFC) South division, part of the National Football League (NFL) which they joined 1965. By 2016, they had won six division championships (1980, 1998, 2004, 2010, 2012, and 2016), and during the 1998 season played in their first Super Bowl XXXIII, where they lost to the Denver Broncos 34-19. On January 22, 2017, the Falcons will make their second Super Bowl appearance against the New England Patriots.
The Falcons played their home games first at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium (1966-1991), then at the Georgia Dome (1992-2016), but plan a move to the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2017.
Note: Be aware that there are a host of manufacturer's variants of these and other fan flags being marketed for "Falcons" fans. This includes garden flags, banners, and pennants.
