Description of the flag

The flag is made of a horizontal bi-color of gold and green, with a thin white bar. In the center is a modified version of the township seal. Under the seal are the years "1692" and "1992" in red. This refers to the tricentennial of the founding of Lower Makefield Township, which was when the flag was created and adopted.

The seal is made of a white ring with green outlines. Inscribed on the ring is the township, county, and state names. In the center of the seal is the coat of arms, which are similar to the Pennsylvanian coat of arms, only with a different eagle design with a leaf torse underneath, along with some color differences.
