A flag offered by "edwinart" (aka eBay Store Edwin's Stuff) some time ago concerned the City of Morris, Illinois (United States): offer no. 160289228324, ended 9 Oct 2008.
Horizontally divided white-yellow-white, the central stripe interrupted by garland of yellow leaves with maroon outlines placed around a yellow tree with a maroon trunk, at the base accompanied by two maroon five-pointed stars, one at each side. The tree bears the city seal in maroon outline and above the tree, where the garland's leaves almost reach each other, a small shield in maroon outline contains a maroon crescent-like figure, horns pointing downwards.
The seal is difficult to make out (double circle, outer one of rope and inner one of pearls surround horse-drawn cart and rider - brandishing a whip? - plus two stars on rim between name "MORRIS" and a date? or name of the state?)...
As used nowadays, the seal mentions "CITY OF MORRIS" and "GRUNDY COUNTY ILLINOIS" respectively and the stars now have six points; the date "FEBRUARY 12, 1853" is placed beneath the horse and cart: city.mornet.org/images/pdfmeetings/citycouncilmeetings09-10.pdf
A contemporary version of the seal celebrating 150 years of existence 1853-2003 may be seen here:
