Coat of Arms

from the site of Ukrainian Heraldry

From the site of Ukrainian Heraldry:
"It was confirmed at 2000. In an azure field is argent St.Yuri with a gules cross in a board on a horse beats a spear the argent snake, at the left is left pale. The authors are V.Kryvenko and K.Shlahovyi. The basic figure is borrowed from the historical arms of the city of Novogeorgiivs'k, instead of which constructed new city of Svitlovods'k. St.Yuri is the patron of Christian troops and farmers, a symbol of struggle of goods and evil. Argent pale symbolizes Dnipro river. The shield is crowned by the stylized composition, in which incorporated beams of the sun and silver waves on the dark blue background, decorated on each side by the decorative branches. The board on each side is decorated with oak leaves, twined by the dark-blue tape with the ot motto "THE NATIVE LAND IR THE BEST"."
