The new logo, presented on 24 May 2021 by Mayor Faruk Özlü, is part of the
program "The municipality of Düzce with a new vision". According to the Mayor,
the logo is based on "existing common values that build the town's identity and
ensure social integration. We live in a very nice town, with its plateau, sea,
history and natural environment. There is a part of each value in our Düzce. As
a symbol, we aimed at creating a common value to Düzce. This will be a step to
the establishment of Düzce's corporate image.'
The logo portrays Konuralp
Bey, the conqueror of the town in 1323. Konuralp represents the autonomy and
courage of the Düzce's inhabitants. Riding a prancing horse, Konuralp represents
Düzce about to accomplish a breakthrough.
The red circle surrounding the
logo, which symbolizes the Seljuk sun, represents strong connections with
history.
Number "1881" refers to the year of establishment of the
municipality, the birth year of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and the province's
registration number used on license plates ["81"].
Dark blue and red are the
colors of the Düzcespor sports club, also representing nobleness and power,
therefore increasing the logo's symbolic force.

Konuralp Bey (d. 1327) was a main contributor to the
establishment of the Ottoman Empire by Osman I and Orhan; he conquered several
towns, castles and ports from the Byzantines.
Konuralp Bey was allegedly
buried in Düzce.
