The municipality of Taşkent (6,967 inhabitants in 2012, 1,661 in the town proper; 59,538 ha), located 110 km south of Konya, is the southernmost municipality in Konya Province.

The flag of Taşkent (photo) is white with the municipality's emblem in the middle. "Başkanlığı Belediye" means "Municipality Presidency".
The emblem of the municipality features the town's emblem, Kible Rock (755 m; photo, photo) surrounded by pine forests.
