Flag of Tercan

The flag of Tercan (photo, photo) is white with the municipality's emblem. "Belediyesi" means "Municipality".

The emblem features the complex built by Melike Mama Hatun, who ruled the Saltukid state of Erzurum from 1190 to 1200. The complex is made of her mausoleum, a caravansarai, a mosque, a hammam and a bridge.
Beneath is represented the Tercan Dam. Commissioned by the State Hydraulic Works on river Tuzla, the earth-fill dam is 57 meter high and with 3 million cubic meter of fill. Yearly installed capacity is 18 MWh.
