Maridi State

The flag of Maridi State comprises three horizontal stripes of light blue, white and green. The State Coat of Arms is placed in the centre of the white stripe (as can be seen here).

The state flag appears to have been officially raised for the first time on 20 June 2016 at Chanambia memorial ground.

Emblem

     Images by Jean-Marc Merklin, 12 March 2019

It appears the state emblem was created originally for its purpose, not adapted from a previous logo such as for Maridi County. The state emblem was adopted by 2016, depicting a shield outlined in bronze. To its sides are two branches. Behind the shield are two sticks crossed together. Above, a golden ribbon reads MARIDI STATE; underneath, ribbons read the motto PEACE UNITY AND PROSPERITY. The shield has blue, with an oval depicting a honeycomb and multiple bees (9 in total); apiculture is an industry found in this region.
