Fontarcada (Fonte Arcada) Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Póvoa de Lanhoso Municipality; it had 1273 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 6.1 km².

It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain yellow field.

Coat of arms

Shield quartered of Argent and Vert, charged with an olive tree fruited Or with trunk and branches in counterchanged colours. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "OLIVEIRA - PÓVOA DE LANHOSO".
Meaning:
The olive tree is canting. Please note that quartered shields are explicitely forbidden by decree of 14 April 1930, and thus implicitely also by law of 1991.
