About the flag

The village of Plop (2,831 inhabitants in 2014, 90% of them declared as ethnic Bulgarians) is located 20 km north-east of Taraclia (the district capital) and 150 km south of Chișinău (the national capital).

The flag and arms of Corten are prescribed by Presidential Decree No. 469 issued on 30 November 2017 and published on 8 December 2017 in the Moldovan official gazette, No. 429-433, Article 723.

Article 1.
The coat of arms and flag of the village of Plop, as approved by Decision No. 07/06 issued on 11 October 2017 by the Village Council, shall be registered into the General Armorial of the Republic of Moldova.

Appendix 1. Coat of arms
Vert a piece of hollow wood superimposed to three wheat ears in bend, pale and bend sinister and cantoned by three bunches of grapes all or. A chief argent leopard passant gules. The shield surmounted by a village crown.

A square green cloth charged in the center with a piece of hollow wood superimposed to three wheat ears in bend, pale and bend sinister and cantoned by four bunches of grapes all or.
