Flag

Located in Miyazaki City Miyazaki Prefecture and established in 1993. The university flag has white background with a red, green and yellow emblem in the center. The emblem is based on the symbolic flower "camellia," which is the flowering tree of Miyazaki City, and is composed of dynamic lines and figures, creating an image of an attractive university, a unique university, and a university that is open to the community. The seven petals of the "Camellia" represent Camellia, Communication, Culture, Creation, Community, Cosmos, and Cooperation. The flower core represents one city and six towns (Miyazaki City, Kiyotake Town, Tano Town, Sadohara Town, Takaoka Town, Kunitomi Town, and Aya Town at that time) that comprised the Miyazaki Public University Administrative Association at the time of the university's opening, and the dynamic movement spreading in all directions from the flower core represents internationality, information, youthfulness, and freshness. The colors used for the "camellia flower" are a deep and atmospheric red, the "camellia leaf" is a Miyazaki city green, and the "university name" is an intellectual and dignified Virginia gray, a pleasant combination with the design of the university emblem.
